Welcome back

Kia Ora koutou,
We are all loving being back at school today! Lots of smiles, laughing and catching up! We are beginning to practice for Athletics which will take place next term and finishing off work from before lockdown. The children loved trying out their discuss and long jump skills with Nina and Adele.

It's great to be back! :)

Lockdown Challenge Awards

Kia ora koutou,

Last week we set the Ruru children a few challenges they could try and enter into a competition by blogging their achievements. The four categories they could enter into were:

Tidiest Bedroom - Clean up your room and show us how tidy it is.

Family Portrait - Draw or take a photo of the people in your bubble!

Tallest Toy Tower - Gather together all your soft toys to build the tallest tower!

Plank Challenge - How long can you hold a plank for?

We had many people entering into the competition and our amazing Teacher Aides were the judges.

The winners for each of the challenges were....

Dasha for the Tidiest Bedroom - check our her blog post here!

Gabriel for his Family Portrait - check out his blog post here!

Monica for her Tallest Toy Tower - check out her blog post here!

Polly for her Longest Plank - check out her blog post here!

There have been a few more challenges set up on our Ruru Learning Site for this week. Remember to blog your entries and we will pick the best ones to present on Friday at Ruru's Whānau Hui.

We look forward to seeing you all back at school on Thursday - enjoy the sun and the extra sleep in tomorrow!

Thank you for your ongoing support!

And to out fantastic learners, Jaydah and Amelia!

Jaydah is busy commenting on lots of children's blog posts and encouraging them to take part in the House Groups challenges. She is also counting up the tokens to put into the tubes when we go back to school!

Amelia was a model Maths student and we were able to share her Addition and Subtraction standard form work with the whole hub during out Google Meets.
